The 5 Magics MX School (formerly GSMXS West) was established by Larry & Carrell Morton in 1996 in Silverthorne, Colorado.

Our original idea was instructing an occasional class within the state of Colorado. Well, things have changed, now having instructed over fifteen hundred students and holding classes in 13 different states as well as Canada.

Our school follows a proven format, starting with basic fundamentals, and working through all the techniques for each discipline i.e.. starts, cornering, braking, whoops, jumping, line selection, passing drills and mental preparation as well. Each technique is discussed thoroughly then reinforced through repetition using stationary drills and action drills. The idea being to have each student thoroughly understand what they are trying to achieve, then showing them how to practice it and critiquing them along the way. Once the rider learns absolute control of the motorcycle, no matter what level they ride at, speed will come, and of course a rider that is less likely to get injured.

The 5 Magics MX School is the school for riders of all levels. We have had students as young as 4 years old, several in their late 50’s, and every ability from new riders to national pro level racers, trail riders, off road riders and of course motocross racers of every level and bike size.

Our proven 2 day course accommodates a wide variety of levels in one class, and we limit class size to 20 students. This allows us to work with each student on an individual basis, and keeps the classes fun, personal and organized.

We also offer semi –private classes for smaller groups, and private lessons for individuals seeking one on one lessons.
